Mower crossing a sunlit lawn with trees behind

Lawn carein Kamloops

Weekly or bi-weekly mowing, trimmed edges and a clean driveway after every visit, from the first cut in April to fall cleanup.

What a lawn visit includes

Every visit follows the same routine, so the lawn looks the same on the day we leave whether it's May or September.

Mowing at the right height

Cut high through the summer so the grass shades its own roots in the heat, then a little lower for the last cuts of the year.

Edging and trimming

Along walks, the driveway, fences and bed edges on every visit, not every other one.

Aeration and feeding

Core aeration in spring or fall, and a feeding plan matched to the season rather than one product all year.

Cleanup before we leave

Clippings blown off hard surfaces. Fall visits add leaf pickup from the lawn and the beds.

Through the season

What happens on a lawn contract from the first thaw to the first snow.

  1. Spring

Spring cleanup, first cuts, core aeration and the first feeding.

  2. Summer

Weekly mowing and trimming, with advice on watering through dry spells.

  3. Fall

Aeration and overseeding, a fall feeding, and leaf cleanup until the trees are bare.

  4. Winter

Lawn visits stop. Many customers move to a snow removal contract.

Lawn care questions

More answers on the FAQ page, or see lawns we look after in the gallery.

How often will you mow?

Most lawns are cut weekly from May through August and every second week in spring and fall. We set the schedule with you at the estimate visit.

Do I need to be home?

No. We need access to the yard, so leave gates unlocked on your visit day and let us know about pets.

Do you take the clippings away?

On most visits we mulch clippings back into the lawn, which feeds the grass. After a long wet stretch, when the cut is heavy, we bag them and take them away.
