Renewed backyard with mulched beds, new shrubs, and a repaired lawn

Before and after

A property reads differently when the outside is cared for.

Because Fieldstone is a fictional demonstration company, we do not pass stock photography off as client work. The comparison below is a real renewal example shared under a Creative Commons licence.

Before: a plain backyard with patchy lawn and bare ground along the house After: the same backyard with mulched beds, new shrubs, and a repaired lawn BeforeAfter

Residential backyard · one year apart

From bare edges to planted, settled beds.

Photographed in 2007 and again in 2008, the same backyard gained defined bed lines, mulch, foundation shrubs, and a repaired lawn. Nothing exotic happened here—just deliberate, well-kept basics, which is exactly what recurring maintenance protects.

Not Fieldstone client work. “Backyard Makeover” photos by Stevie Lee, shared on Flickr (before, after) under CC BY 2.0. Crops were resized and converted to WebP.

What maintenance changes

Less clutter. Better structure. Healthier growth.

01

Edges become legible

Clean transitions between lawn, bed, walk, and drive immediately make a yard feel intentional.

02

Plants regain their shape

Selective pruning opens views and supports healthier branching without forcing every plant into a box.

03

The property stays ahead

Recurring visits keep seasonal growth from turning into a large and disruptive reset.
