What
we build

Five kinds of work, usually combined on one yard. We do all of it with our own crews.

Patios & paving

Every patio starts with the base: dug to depth, filled with compacted gravel in lifts and sloped so water leaves the house. The stone on top is the part you see; the base is the part that decides whether it heaves in five years.

  • Natural stone: basalt, granite, sandstone
  • Concrete and porcelain pavers
  • Poured and exposed-aggregate slabs
  • Steps, landings and seat walls

Retaining walls

Block, boulder and timber walls for sloped lots. Anything over 1.2 metres gets an engineer's drawing before we dig. Every wall gets drain rock and a perforated pipe behind it.

  • Segmental block walls
  • Boulder and stacked-stone walls
  • Terracing for steep yards
  • Engineered walls with permits

Drainage & grading

Lower Mainland clay holds water. We regrade, lay French drains and dig dry wells so the lawn dries out in spring and the crawlspace stays dry.

  • French and curtain drains
  • Regrading away from foundations
  • Dry wells and downspout tie-ins

Planting design

Planting plans drawn for wet winters and dry Augusts, using plants local nurseries actually stock. We plant everything ourselves and come back once in the first season to replace anything that didn't take.

Lawns & irrigation

New sod laid on screened topsoil, and drip or spray irrigation zoned so the beds and lawn each get what they need.

  • Sod on prepared soil
  • Drip lines for beds
  • Spray zones and smart controllers
