Common Questions
- How much does a website cost?
- $500 CAD for a complete website, for a limited time. One free draft preview is included. After that it’s 50% up front and 50% once the site is live.
- What happens to my existing website?
- We migrate your existing content and assets, including text, images, pages, and other important information. We can also add, remove, or update anything you’d like changed as part of the redesign.
- How many rounds of revisions do I get?
- Two. We work through them with you to refine the design, content, and layout until you’re happy with the result.
- Do you host the website?
- Optional managed hosting is available for $35/month. That covers:
- Website hosting
- SSL/HTTPS
- Uptime monitoring
- Minor text and content changes
- Basic ongoing maintenance
You can take the site with you at any time — all you need is a free GitHub account and a free Netlify account.
- How does the switch to the new site work?
- We work with you to update your domain registrar’s DNS records and point your domain to the new website. Your existing website stays untouched while the new site is being built, tested, and approved. The switch only happens once everything is ready to launch.
- Will Google find the new site?
- We handle the basic Google setup required for your new website to be discovered and indexed. If you already have a Google Business Profile, we recommend updating the website URL to your new site after launch. If you don’t have one, we recommend creating a Google Business Profile to help customers find your business and connect your website with your Google presence.
- Do I own the website?
- Yes. You are not locked into Undreamt Designs for hosting, and your website can be transferred to your own hosting account if you choose.
- How long does it take?
- One to two weeks on average, depending on the amount of content, feedback, and revisions required.
